Driven To Love
Cord Mason, owner of Mason Limo, is flabbergasted when beautiful Jamie-Lynn Thompson, in full wedding regalia, throws herself into the back seat of his limousine. Normally he would not think twice about a bride in the back seat but this one is a little different. She is alone, it's not time for the wedding to even start much less be over and the look in her eyes reminds him of the countless strays that he has rescued over the years. Upon learning that she has left her purse and everything else behind he takes her to his sister's house so she can call someone to come and get her and then promptly leaves putting her completely out of his mind. At least he tries to put her out of his mind. He finds that she is firmly planted there and he soon comes to realize that he doesn't really mind. However, there are a couple of things standing between Jamie and Cord's happily ever after.
When Jamie overhears her fiancé talking with his best man right before their wedding, she becomes so angry that her only recourse is to flee until she can best decide how to handle the information that she has just obtained. She loves the small town of Hartland and its hometown atmosphere and will fight tooth and nail to keep it intact. If her ex-fiancé gets his way the town will lose the small town appeal, she will lose her home, her business and the one man that she has come to love more than all of that put together, Cord Mason.
This was a very intriguing story all about compromise, priorities, sacrifices and most of all love. I must admit that since I am not a big fan of suspense, I got a bit frustrated because it seemed that every time a page was turned a new obstacle was revealed. However, the characters were very well developed, as was the plot, making it an enjoyable and very satisfying read.
