Silk Secrets, Installment II: Enslaved

Silk Secrets: Enslaved by M.A. DuBarry is the story of Simone, the owner of Driscoll's auction house which was left to her by her father. Recently, items of the infamous Madame Chambray, including her famous diaries that detail the happenings of a secret sex society, have fallen into Simone's eager hands. Also in Simone's possession are a pair of silk garters that can transport the wearer into another time. Through an earlier experience, Simone had become torn between Andre, her lover in the past, and Andrew, her fiancé of the present time.

Putting on the stockings again, Simone is transported through her dreams back into Andre's arms. There she learns more about her own former life as a sex slave in Madame Chambray's society. Andre wishes to free her by marrying her, but since his brother, Lewis, brought Simone into the society, he has the right to challenge Andre for her hand. The first man to please Simone will win her.

I won't spoil this story by revealing the ending. Needless to say, DuBarry burns up the pages with her exotic prose. Not a word is out of place. My only complaint is that the story is only 30 pages long, rushing a lot of the details to arrive at the crux of the story. Simone barely has time to catch her breath between sexual encounters before she is rushed into yet another. As the second part of what is obviously a longer story, though, this is an interesting addition to the Silk Secrets series.
