The Warrior
Michael Lammergeier is the Laird of Inverfyre in Scotland. Known as the Hawk to all his people he is fierce, he's a protector and his soul is haunted by the past. A past that dates back Centuries, a past that fills his dreams with demons. Told by an old Crone that he was a descendant of Magnus Armstrong he tries with all his might to not to believe the witchery but too much that she foretells comes true.
Aileen of Aberyne is a strong willed woman. Way past the proper age of marriage she chooses not to just marry anyone that comes courting. She is skilled and to herself, labeled just plain. When the Hawk shows up she is mesmerized, yet angered, by his abrupt ways.
A kiss between the two sets off a ton of emotions, memories that neither one can explain nor deny. The Hawk takes her to Inverfyre to be his lady even though she does not want to go, but her own curiosity lures her to him to find the truth that is hidden deep within her heart and his.
The Warrior is truly a page-turner and the story of Hawk and Aileen is so beautifully written. The readers will transport themselves into this story and it's so detailed oriented that you will enjoy the visit. The love that was meant to be will find its way after centuries of being apart. The characters are strong, romantic, funny and captivating. This is a must read and a perfect five angels to Ms. DeLacoix.
