Bliss Moran and her partner Tom were paramedics on their way to a huge wreck. Her insides were twisted and she was unsure if she was cut out for that type of work. Upon arriving at the scene, she is horrified to find out that her fiancé Mitch is involved in the wreck. Before she is able to attend to him a huge explosion takes place and he is killed.
After his death, she attends college and learns about horticulture and flower arranging. Four years after the accident she opens her own shop and that is where she meets Cord Alden. Bliss has spent the last years of her life in mourning and filled with anger not just at Mitch's death but also against the rich. At the funeral Mitch's mother said some cruel words to Bliss, words she couldn't forget. Never again would she allow the rich to treat her with such cruelty. She could not be bought and when Cord shows up at her show that flashing around his money, she becomes annoyed.
After a divorce and the death of a child, Cord buries himself in his work. When he meets the feisty Bliss he tries but cannot get her off his mind. Fate steps in, along with his mother and these two come together and heal the old wounds that have kept them so deep in pain and hurt. When they unite the flames are hot but soon Bliss finds herself in an odd predicament. Can Cord forget the past and believe that Bliss's heart is true?
A Passion for Roses is one of Fiona's earlier books. It's a story filled with emotions and pain. Cord and Bliss need each other and the reader will surely root for these two to overcome the obstacles and be together forever. Truly a romantic, yet a hot book to read.
