Lost Angel
Emily Parker thought her new job with Bernard Fritz would be the answer to all her prayers. After graduating from a community college, Emily went to work for him as his personal assistant. Three years down the line, things go terribly wrong when he asks her to do something illegal, something she knows she shouldn't do, but she convinces herself to do it because she owes him for giving her a job three years ago. Then she finds Mr. Fritz dead, and things go from bad to worse.
Emily then meets art insurance investigator Steven Gallagher and things begin to look up. He offers her a job at his automotive company as a mechanic, and she accepts. Little does she know that he is aware that she was Mr. Fritz's assistant. Steven hopes that she will be able to tell him where the painting, The Cuzin, has been taken. Emily has no intention of telling anyone that information, and she's not going to let Steven's seductive glances and bulging muscles persuade her. Soon enough though the attraction proves too much for Steven and Emily and they fall in to bed together. Then Steven offers to keep her as his mistress in exchange for sleeping with him. What follows is a scorching love story and a mystery. Where did the painting go? When will Steve reveal that he knows the truth about Emily? Louisa Trent keeps you guessing in Lost Angel as Steve and Emily fall in love.
Louisa Trent has written a very sexy and erotic story. Readers beware, this story contains some anal sex, so if that's not your thing, you might be put off from this story. There is also some light S&M scenes, but nothing graphic or over the top. All in all, this is a very compelling love story. Not only is there a great romance between Steve and Emily, but also the mysterious Cuzin painting adds another dimension to an already interesting story. With a great mystery and a great leading duo, Lost Angel is not to be missed.
