Cybele has been hired to kill Damien, a smuggler. Under the disguise of a pleasure worker, she entices Damien with a sexy dance number. Thinking he's paying for a night of pleasure, he goes alone with Cybele to her room. At first Cybele plans to just kill him and get it over with, but finds herself very sexually attracted to Damien. She decides to indulge in some carnal pleasure before doing the job she was hired to do.
Full of action, adventure, and hot sex, Survival's Price is a like a James Bond movie condensed to just the good parts! The verbal and physical sparring between Damien and Cybele is very well written. Cybele is a very believable alpha woman. In fact, she's quite surprised by the fact that Damien can equal her. The sexual tension created by the two is electric.
Survival's Price is Joanna Wilde's latest and, in my opinion, best installment in her Saurellian Federation series, but it stands alone as well. The surprise plot twist at the end knocked my socks off. If you're looking for a short but very satisfying read, I highly recommended Survival's Price!
