Private Eyes by Dominique Sinclair

Nicci is a woman on a mission, ever since she found her ex rolling in their bed with another woman. She is strong, rich and intelligent. She is more than a little aroused by Gray who is one hunk of a man. These two play a cat and mouse game that culminates in a sizzling relationship in and out of the bed. There is a twist to the storyline, which was unexpected. It was a thoroughly enjoyable story.

The Ruination of Lady Jane by Bonnie Hamre

Lady Jane Ponsonby-Maitland is running away from her upcoming nuptials. Havyn Attercliffe has been sent by his brother to recover her. Lady Jane pleads with him to "ruin" her so her fiancé will not want her.

Born in a time where women are under the rule of their husband, father or guardian; Jane is an unusual female. Not only is she intelligent, but she is a romantic who wants to love the man she weds. She doesn't want her arranged marriage and will just do about anything to get out of it Havyn is surprised to find the young girl all grown up and quite desirable. He has very little will power where she is concern and agrees to "ruin" her. He has spent much time in India and is well versed in Eastern eroticism. Jane is a very sensual creature and a fast learner. She is not afraid to try new positions with Havyn. She is definitely not a "simpering" virgin but participates in her newfound sexuality wholeheartedly. These two spend much of the story in the boudoir. These two characters were very likable and drew the reader into their story.

Code Name: Kiss by Jeanie Cesarini

Agent Lily Justiss is embarking on a mission for her country. She is undercover as a "sex slave". Seth Blackthorn is her commanding officer and he is watching her every move. Her mission is to plant a transmitting device onto the head of a terrorist organization. This is accomplished by kissing the man, as she will transfer it from her mouth onto his body.

Code Name: Kiss is the most interesting of the four stories. Lily is an agent born and bred. Her parents were agents and she grew up being trained for it. Lily has always had an attraction to Seth. Unfortunately, Seth never paid her any attention as a woman. Her assignment tests her physically and mentally. She is forced to accept the attentions of her "master" including giving up her virginity. She is surprised by her reaction to this and gets through it all by imagining Seth in her mind. Seth is surprised by the force of his reaction while watching Lily being "trained". He realizes he does have deep feelings for her. Filled with suspense, intrigue and highly erotic situations - this was an enthralling story.

The Sacrifice by Kathryn Anne Dubois

Lady Anastasia Bedovier is about to take her vows as a nun, but she decides that the chastity rule means nothing since she has not experienced passion. She goes to Count Ian Maxwell, who is known as the "Lord of Pleasure" for assistance. Ana disappears after their romantic interlude and Ian goes in search of her.

Anastasia's life is changed by her sexual experience. She finds some semblance of peace being a healer. Ian has never forgotten her and the sexual attraction is still there when he lays eyes on her again. They are two very complex characters whose lives have taken a different turn due to that event. The story is nicely paced and filled with memorable secondary characters especially Duncan.

Secrets Volume 10 contains four diverse and highly erotic stories. Each is complete with well-drawn characters and dynamic storylines. Having read the previous nine volumes, this one fulfills the expectations of what is expected in a "Secrets" book: romance and eroticism at its best!!
