Treaty of Desire
It is a world filled with different races: Fey, Weres, Vampyres, Shadowwalkers and humans. In three years, the portal between the world of the Seelie and humans will open. Knowing the humans will not easily adjust to this, the Fey need glamour from the Weres and the Weres need the Fey magick to disguise and protect themselves. Taja has been chosen by her Queen to go to the Seelie Fey Court. She is to teach the Fey how to use glamour and the Fey will teach them how to use Fey magick. Taja is a cross breed; she is part Were, Seelie and Sprite. She is the only Were capable of dealing with the Fey. Taja meets Adrastai her teacher and is surprised by her attraction to him. Not everyone is happy with this treaty, there are those who want the Seelie to stay pure blooded and end the treaty.
Taja is a wonderful heroine. She is very strong, smart and knows what she wants. Adrastai is an Alpha male to the core. He wants Taja for his lover and tells her so. Taja is surprised by his stance and her reaction to it. She is not immune to his charms and it has been a long time since she had a lover. These two smoke up the pages and their chemistry is red hot! They are sexual equals and Taja is more than capable of holding her own. Adras is a wonderful teacher in more ways than one, but finds that Taja is able to give him a few lessons too! There is mutual respect and admiration as their relationship progresses within the story. These two characters will grow on you and the reader will end up rooting for them untilthe very end.
The paranormal aspect of this story was fascinating as the author explored this world filled with different races and their particular gifts. There is a complex relationship between the different groups and the author has provided a detailed explanation at the end of the book. Ultimately this is Taja and Adras' story and how their relationship forges a new direction for their world.
