Maria DiMaggio has been avoiding men and relationships since her boyfriend Michael died. She placed him on a pedestal and every man since has been compared and found lacking against his perfect image. However, when a fortuneteller predicts a meeting with an unknown man, Maria scoffs at the notion, but is also leery of her prophecy. When she does in fact meet a sexy stranger at the airport, her life and her heart are thrown into turmoil. Can she let go of the past long enough to see the future she might have with Bradley?

Mary Warner has created a short story that is filled with passion, humor, and a love that is meant to be. What drew me to this story is that the main characters are so realistic. Readers are able to understand the hesitation that holds Maria back from a relationship with Bradley. At the same time, the author has portrayed Bradley as both sensitive but strong. His decision to let Maria make the ultimate decision on their future is believable and all the more poignant for its realism. Maria’s friend Quinn is an entertaining, humorous foil to her cynicism. His outrageous statements had me grinning at his wit. The scenes between Brad and Maria are unbelievably hot. The love scenes are fantastic to say the least and give membership in the Mile High Club a whole new perspective. If you are looking for a romance with more passion in the pages than most, Believe In Us is an excellent choice.
