On the Edge of Time

After her mother is killed while on a scientific excursion through a wyrmhole, Helga Guddotter, decides to travel through the same wyrmhole in the hope that she’ll be chosen as a host by one of the symbiotic shape She is so lucky and is chosen by Silk as her host sister. Helga and Silk then meet Cord and are instantly attracted to each other. But their relationship gets off to amore serious start than she’d planned for.

Cord Blackstone, a former security chief, decides to try the wyrmhole himself to see if he too will be chosen as a host. He is chosen by Onyx, the first male symbiotic shape shifter to join with a host. After having been chosen by Onyx he gets involved with Helga, only to find out that they’re going to have a baby. Mixed emotions come into play when he learns that he will be the one carrying the baby. It will take everything in his power to convince Helga to give them a chance.

On the Edge of Time is a fantastic read. The original story line is vastly appealing and well written. I greatly enjoyed the male having to be the one to carry a child to term and that he was plagued with the same insecurities as a woman in regards to his weight and how appealing he is to his mate. The sex scenes are hot enough to cause combustion. Barbara Karmazin created a wonderful story and is someone whose work I will look forward to reading in the future.
