Dream Snatcher

Anna was worried about her sister being in a coma and the doctors couldn't find the cause. In walks Ian, an FBI agent, saying that it’s an attempted murder, but he doesn't have any proof and no other agents or the police will be able to help them. Anna can feel that her sister had been terrified the night before they found her. Although Anna and Sandra are linked, she won’t admit that to anyone, even to herself. Ian wouldn't believe it, or so she thinks. After what happened to her as a little girl, she never wanted to acknowledge those psychic feelings again. The feelings Ian evokes scare Anna, she wants to shut them down again, she wants her tidy and controlled world back.

Ian needs to find the man responsible for putting Sandra in a coma; she's the only one who has survived. He will use anything and anybody, even Anna to find the Chameleon. Ian has been after the Chameleon for ages and now he is closer than he has ever been. With Anna's psychic abilities, Ian knows that the Chameleon will come after her. His people, the Cintarians, count on him to get the Chameleon before they are exposed to the humans again. The only problem about using Anna is that Ian has fallen in love with her. He has to teach her how to use her talent, but his emotions are getting in the way. His people have suppressed their emotions so that humans would no longer know of their existence; they had to keep it that way. The Chameleon was going against all Cintarian laws by leaving the humans without their life force and Ian was the Protector and enforced those laws.

Ms. Michaels has written a story that captures the imagination. She gives the reader a different type of vampire, one that takes the life force through the emotions of his victims instead of draining their blood. This novel is spellbinding. It will hold the reader long after they read the last page. Ms. Michaels’s characters are well written as is the battle between Ian and the Chameleon. Dream Snatcher is a recommended read to anyone who loves paranormal and suspense books.
