Christmas Rescue

Christine is spending her last Christmas in the home her ancestors built 4 generations before. On January 2nd, the ranch will become the property of her stepmother and stepbrother, because she doesn’t have the money to buy it from them as required by her father’s will. In a way, she will be glad when it is over because she will no longer have to suffer the advances of her stepbrother, Donzo. Christine has made arrangements for the disposition of her valuable breeder cattle and her horses, and she will have to go back to a dull computer job in the city.

On the night before Christmas Eve, Christine sees what she thinks is an aircraft go down in her west pasture, and she goes out to see if she can help whoever is in the aircraft. To her amazement, the person she rescues turns out to be Trinous, a man from the planet Kantar. He is not only gorgeous, but he thinks Christine is incredibly sexy – and goes about proving it to her every chance he gets! In spite of the attentions of this wonderful man, Christine cannot help but be worried about what will happen in a few days when she must give up the ranch.

This is a lovely short story (57 p.) with which to celebrate Christmas. It is told with a light touch as the heroine and hero overcome the obstacles in their path. I liked the characters of Christine and Trinous because they are nice people just trying to find happiness. The man/woman love scenes (and they are love scenes, not sex scenes) waver between sensuous and explicit. I definitely enjoyed reading this story and found it a nice change of pace on a quiet night.
