Hell Hath No Fury
Gabe Marshall is a witch hunter. He is constantly on call to keep Manhattan out of the line of fire from any rampaging practitioners of the black arts. If a witch chooses to cause trouble in his town, Gabe has no choice but to eliminate her. Gabe has a personal motive for becoming a witch hunter; he is convinced that a witch caused the accident that killed his sister.
Abby Harrison is a witch on a mission. She has been hurt one too many times by men. She has decided to embrace her dark heritage and use it to exact revenge on the current loser, Gregg. This could cause problems, considering that if she harms or kills Gregg, then Gabe will have no choice but to kill her. Choices, choices.
Gabe and Abby have a fantastic one-night stand that changes both of their perceptions. As innocent bodies start to pile up, Gabe knows that he can no longer ignore the evidence in front of his face. Abby has gone on a rampage in his city and he has to stop her. No matter the cost to him, the showdown must come.
I've been waiting a long time for a book like this. Ms. Carrington has written a fantastic contemporary paranormal. While witches aren't usually a favorite of mine, this book surpassed every expectation I had. Gabe is an incredibly powerful and sexy witch hunter haunted by a past tragedy that he had no control over. Abby is a confident powerful witch in bloom. Her reasons for turning to black magic touched a chord within me. Betrayal is always a powerful motivator. Hell Hath No Fury had me on the edge of my seat. I was turning pages almost faster than I could read, dreading the final showdown between the potent Gabe and the fledgling Abby. These two scorch the pages and their actions are complimented by Gabe's devlish wit and Abby's dark angst. A great read! Ms. Carrington's Hell Hath No Fury grabs you from the first paragraph, and doesn't let go until she has wrung every last drop of emotion.
