Dream Dancer
Calliope Kelley was born to a circus family, literally being delivered by the circus's bearded lady. Calliope's father was ringmaster of Sean Kelley's Circus. Her mother Angelique did death-defying feats on a rope high in the center ring. There was never a question that Calliope would some day be a member of the troop. When too many unexplained accidents leave Calliope an orphan as a young woman, Calliope finds herself running the show. She is sure that there is a curse on the circus. Calliope has her hands full with keeping the circus running and out of danger.
Brian O'Connor was there when the woman he had loved with all his youthful innocence was killed in what many believed to be a freak accident. Brian couldn't bear to stay with the circus after witnessing her death. Suddenly years later, he returns to the Sean Kelley Circus to find many changes have occurred since he has been gone. One of the biggest changes is how Calliope has grown up into a beautiful alluring woman. Calliope always had a crush on Brian and is thrilled that he is back. Now she has to prove to him that she is not a child any longer, but a full grown woman.
Dream Dancer is HOT! Bestselling author Denise Dietz has another winner on her hands. The characters are intriguing from the very first paragraph. The reader can't help but to lose their hearts to Calliope. She is a free spirit, headstrong and determined to keep the circus going no matter what. Brian is back and is just as headstrong and determined as Calliope. Only he is determined to do things his way. They often butt heads, much to this reviewer's delight. The sexual tension between Calliope and Brian fairly scorches the pages. This book also boasts a colorful supporting cast. What else would you expect in a circus? All of these characters are well written and multi-faceted.
Dream Dancer is very sensual and sizzling. This book is highly recommended for historical romance lovers who like a lot of heat in their romance.
