Undercover 2: Stripped to Serve

Alan Grady is determined to catch the man who had killed two of his fellow officers and severely wounded 2 of his detective friends, Renee Atkin and Sam Hooper. The man is now killing prostitutes. Alan is also trying to figure out what went wrong between his wife, Callie and himself. Callie moved out of their home several months ago. Alan and Callie had been unable to agree about Alan’s job. She feels that it is too dangerous. Alan is unwilling to give up his job as a police detective. When Callie is arrested for a crime that Alan knows she did not commit, he does everything he can to clear her name.

Callie has been in love with Alan since they met. His job as a police officer has steadily become more dangerous. Callie would like him to take a less dangerous assignment. Alan is unwilling. Having left Alan, Callie moves in with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend. The two like to live on the edge and have gotten Callie into a very dangerous situation. Callie is afraid for her sister and herself and of what this might do to Alan’s career.

This is an emotionally charged story. Alan and Callie love each other but have come to an impasse that they must overcome. I liked that when Callie got into a bad situation, she tries to take care of it herself without her husband’s help. They have an explosive sexual chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
