A Father’s Hope
Much to Angel Boucher’s surprise she finds herself with a
baby and a very ill twin sister. Many months earlier Lynne had met a
young soldier heading off to World War II after a night together he
leaves for war and she returns to her life but ends up pregnant. Now a
beautiful little girl, Christy, is here being cared for by Angel while
her mother slowly perishes with TB. Angel writes to the father to inform
him of her birth and is shocked when Gabe shows up one night at her
door.
Gabe, just back from a Military hospital, is happy to have
a daughter but the affects of war have taken their toll on him, he lost
his leg and suffers severely from the pain of the stump. Gabe wants to
do the right thing and marry Lynne then take her back to California
where his family is and the land his family owns.
Angel agrees
to marry him knowing he believes her to be Lynne only for the sake of
Christy and to keep her word to her dying sister. Angel and Gabe
soon embark on a journey, a journey that leads them to California, a
journey that leads them to the other’s heart and a journey that could
possibly end when Gabe finds out the truth. Along with the help of his
family he digs deep in his heart and sees the love he has always wanted
leads to his Angel’s arms.
This was a wonderful, romantic tale.
Angel’s unselfish love for her sister and niece is rare and brings the
reader to her side immediately. Gabe, a hero, is strong and stubborn yet
soft and loving. I truly enjoyed reading this and would highly recommend
everyone to hurry to Wings ePress and buy this book. A perfect five
angel score.
