Blood of the Rose
Blood of the Rose is about two young people who love each other, but come from different social stations in life. They have not admitted that they love each other because they feel there is no hope for them to ever be together. Penelope has grown up with Aiden in her life always, but now he is leaving the manor to make his way in the world. He has plans to go to America and see what is there and to make his fortune. Penelope’s father has fallen down the stairs and died, and she learns that she has to sell everything to pay the creditors. Penelope was left with only a small pension, and her nanny decided that she should go live with her great aunt in New York. So Penelope takes a ship to America and then a train to New York, but her aunt does not live at the address that nanny has given her. What will Penelope do? Will she try to find Aiden? What will happen to Penelope?
Blood of the Rose was a treasure to read .The characters were so alive that they leapt off the pages. The plot was very well written, and held you for every erotic touch and kiss, as well as providing new meaning to the word “vampire”. Ms. Bast has written a book that upholds her reputation as a writer of excellent books. Blood of the Rose is erotica, but it’s not just about hot love scenes. It is a love story, about two real people who could be people that you see in everyday life. This reviewer gives this book a Five Angel Rating for a hot read as well as a book for your keeper shelf.
