Lorelei Flecher was born with an addition to her blood that she was unaware of that made her special to the vampires in town. Thinking that a night out at a Halloween party would be fun, she never suspected that there would be a murder. The party was for her to get some fun in because of her busy shop she owned all week.
As they got to the party, everything not only seemed weird but also strange. Once they were at the party, the two friends are separated. As the night goes on, she decides she’s had enough of this child’s play of a party and searches for her friend, Dina. Just when she’s about to give up she hears her friend yelling for a man name Nick to stop. Sensing from her voice that she is frightened or afraid of this man Lorelei gets there in time to find Nick holding Dina up against the wall and tearing out her throat. Not knowing what to do since blood was everywhere Lorelie grabbed Nicky and to tear him away from Dina. Just when it looks like Lorelei can be killed also a man comes into rescue. Never seeing this man before she is awed by how just one look to Nick she is saved. As shock gets to her that her best friend is dead, she questions herself of what just happened. Who was this man? What does he want from her? Will she die next?
The book was not only engrossing but also very well written. From the beginning, the book describes the party and other scenes without the story slowing down one bit. Ms. Knights has written an inspiring book about vampires and fortunately will soon have a following of fans for her creative imagination. Stay turned to this creative author for the next book in this series of vampire books.
