Going back to waiting tables after owning her own business wasn’t exactly a step up in the world for Rachel, but being able to see her boss Devon Carnavorn every day was worth the step down on her career. Although Rachel didn’t believe in mixing business and pleasure, she couldn’t help but dream about being with him in the most carnal of ways.
Devon Carnavorn had lived many decades in misery, longing for his lost love Ariel. After meeting Rachel, he felt his first spark of real excitement in a long time. Could she be the one? Could she be his soul mate, the one who would stay with him for eternity? Will she be able to accept his secret life as one of the Kynn, and join that life?
Ms. Jenson writes a fantastic story, one that balances hot love scenes with fragile insecurities and tender emotions. She gets inside the heads of her characters, drawing the reader into their emotions and anxieties. She has given a unique twist to the usual Vampire myth, and this reviewer found the change refreshing. One hopes that more Vampire novels from this talented writer will be forthcoming.
