Ex rodeo champion, Cody Winston, doesn't want to face what is at the end of the long elevator ride…a divorce from the woman he loves, Samantha Sloan. All he wants to do is explain what happened the night she 'caught' him with another woman and to ask her to give him one more chance before they make it to the thirty-second floor.
Samantha is so caught up in her own pain and heartbreak that she doesn't notice Cody in the elevator. She just knows she is turned on beyond belief by the light breaths on the back of her neck and she can't figure out why. Only one man could make her burn and melt in desire with just a touch…..Cody. Finally the elevator empties and it's just the two of them, then the power goes out in Manhattan. The heat in the elevator is stifling, but it's not from the temperature. Can Cody convince Samantha not to go through with the divorce before the power comes back on and they reach the thirty-second floor?
This story, even though short, was a very sexy read. It's always great to find a new author and not be disappointed. The Blackout was my first Trixie Stilletto story, but it won't be my last.
