Morgan’s assessment of Julienne tells him one thing, she will be nothing but trouble for him.

Morgan was an unstoppable assassin, since before the Dark Ages. Now when the 3 worlds align once more, he has no choice but to go back to his time. To ignore his destiny would mean death to everything. Soon he will be leaving, and he cannot allow anyone or anything to get in his way. Especially not Julienne, even if that means killing her. Still, he wants her. Yet somehow, he senses that she is dangerous to him. Morgan is all but insane from wanting Julienne. How long can he stand to not take her?

I was completely captivated by this story from the first. Author Caitlyn McKenna brings you into her world with powerful expressions and a fascinating story. You cannot help but fell Julienne’s confusion and pain, as she struggles to understand who and what she is. There are times when Morgan’s behavior is vicious and appalling, but still you cannot just simply write him off. As my introduction to gothic romance, I could not have granted a better author and story. This tale of love and loss will leave my mind no time soon.
