Dakota always has plenty of women around him because of his profession, wrestling. He never had a problem getting what he wanted from them either. Love ‘em and Leave ‘em is a motto that describes him and his older brother Ross to a tee. Unfortunately, the day he meets Kelly all of that changes. Not only does she not fall at his feet like all the others she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Well, her attitude only makes Dakota want to conquer her more.

Kelly has had only one man, and he scarred her for life. Never will she allow a man to treat her that way again. From the first moment she meets Dakota she knows he is just like her ex. All he wants is one thing, and once he gets that he is out the door. Although she tries to get rid of him, he only seems to take it as more of a challenge. She has other problems that demand her attention. Like her daughter and the fact that she may not be around to watch her grow up unless she can get the surgery required for her heart condition.

When Kelly passes out at a barbecue, Dakota learns of her medical condition. He tries to stay out of her life, but when he finds out a several weeks later she is fighting for her life, he knows he can’t let her go without trying to help. After the successful surgery can Kelly find it in her heart to give a man like Dakota a chance? Can Dakota bring himself to raise a little girl who is not his? To find out you will have to read Bad Decisions by Hollie Davidson.

Bad Decisions is what this reviewer would call a modern day fairy tale. The characters are all very believable. Dakota is a man this reviewer would probably have hated as Kelly did, but the readers get to watch him grow from a man who treated woman horribly to a man with a true heart and feelings. Kelly is a character worth admiring. She has not had an easy life, and yet she has made the best of it. She has raised a child on her own and faces the possibility of not being able to watch her daughter grow up. She faces her illness bravely and does what needs to be done to insure her daughter will be taken care of. This reviewer loved how Mrs. Davidson had Dakota come to the rescue of Kelly when she most needed it.

Although Kelly and Dakota are the main attraction, Mrs. Davidson’s gives her readers a whole host of witty characters. The secondary story of Ross, Dakota’s brother, and Diane, Kelly’s sister, is also wonderful addition. Fans of contemporary romance will without a doubt want to check out Hollie Davidson’s debut novel. Bad Decisions is definitely worth reading!
