This short, sexy story is the end cap, if you will, of Ms. Leigh’s August Family series. It’s been over a year since we last saw the Augusts and many changes have taken place. Cade and Marly are the proud parents of Drace, and the family is trying to adjust to the changes to their unique family dynamics that are taking place. This final story, about learning to love, trust, whom you are with, shows the growth of this family beautifully.
This reviewer had not read the previous stories in the series, so it took a little bit to figure out what the family dynamics were and what was being resolved with this sexy short story. Ms. Leigh does a wonderful job of giving the reader just enough to not feel very confused, without the burden of too much back-story.
It helps to have read the previous three stories Marly’s Choice, Sarah’s Seduction, and Heather’s Gift, but it is not necessary. Ms. Leigh once again succeeds with her trademark hot, and very spicy, writing. Be sure to pick up not only this Christmas gift from Ms. Leigh to her readers, but also the other books in the series as a gift to yourself.
