Life without Raine
In the 11th century, he had to hurt her; it was the only way to make sure death did not come to her. Yes, Connor had to hurt his beloved Raine. He tried everyway possible to keep her safe but his future was bleak and the thought of pain coming to his wife troubled his soul. Yes, he had to hurt her and a good way to do that was call out another woman’s name during their lovemaking. Pure agony clenched at Raine’s heart as Connor said cruel things to her. When she left their bed, she left in tears.
In the 21st century, Raine had been informed by email she was heir to a castle. Michael Connors sent her tickets and a map insisting she be there before the next full moon so there she was. Upon their meeting she soon found out he was handsome and some how she knew it but from where? Memories filled her mind; she remembered the past, her life with him before or was it a dream? Why were things happening to her she could not explain and what did Fiona, the castle keepers daughter, have to do with it? The past does come back to haunt you.
The passion in this short story was well felt. The sex scenes were hot and well written. The reincarnation of Raine was well told and believed and the other characters just fit in. Connor loved her enough to let her go then searched for her for many years. Her love for him lasted a lifetime and even in death, she had never forgotten her beloved Connor. They were just destined to be together.
