This book started with a very intriguing and unusual beginning. What would you do to keep your only sick parent and yourself from being homeless? Well, Clair Hardistique had to find that out. Once she agreed she became apart of long line of woman for our dark and brooding hero, Eli Eden. Eli was not only obscenely filthy rich but spoiled with it. He firmly believed he could buy anything, even someone to live his sexual fantasies. And because he had been doing it for so long he was jaded to all the misery he caused others with his callous attitude about people and their worth.
Some of the scenes were very dark, but I have to say they were very sensual too. This book was very enjoyable, and this reviewer found herself cheering for Clair to teach Eli a lesson, both physically and mentally. Did she? You will have to purchase the book to find out.
This reviewer found this book a great read. The hero who just seemed to be so unlikable intrigued me…I thought "He can't be this bad". Guess what…you will have to read it to find out. I will say the heroine loved him, but she had to cut through all his layers to find the man she could love. And there is a scene in here about whipped cream, which will make this reviewer forever look at whipped cream with a smile on her face…. This book has some very interesting and surprising twists that will definitely keep the reader on her toes. This reviewer enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others to read. This reviewer will have to go out and purchase the other books this author has produced…it was that good.
