She has been craving lately for something else. Losing the only lover she has known to a human female she has realized that she never felt that real emotion called love. She musters all the courage she can to get the chance to feel that emotion and is shocked when she does get the chance. The thing is that she only has a year to know and feels the emotions of love never expecting a man as Ben Stanton entering her life. Landing on earth her first night, she found the warmth of love instantly and cannot bear to lose it so she takes the cowards way and escapes. Now when she is reacquainted with Ben she cannot suppress the feelings any longer and prays that the Polgarans have forgotten about her. Can she escape Ben again knowing this could be the last time she feels love? Can he survive without her?

Ms. Raine introduces us to Christmas in the first book of Ellora’s Cave Twelve Quickies of Christmas in a wonderful but steamy story in Angel in Moonlight. As a Polgaran goddess, Lita has lived a life as only a pleasure goddess, which means only sharing her body to those who want a little pleasure but never more beyond that. All this changes for Lita when the one person she started having feelings for has fallen in love with a human female making her realize that she has never felt love. To her this is an alien feeling and is persistent in finding out what this emotion. Getting a chance to feel things she never thought she would, she comes to know heartache when she has to leave the love she has craved for to return to Polgaran. Ms. Raine's writing talents shine throughout this book and I was amazed at how quickly a woman who has not known love can feel so much in such a short time. This is a great book to read before or after the holidays.
