Moonlight Man
Marc Duval, a drifter, a man who finds solace in playing his harmonica and who is trying to find himself again after the murders of his pregnant wife and son years ago. Marc was the prime suspect in the murders and his life was torn apart, he quit his job and was guilty in the eyes of the public. He left town, trying to run from his demons and his guilt. Nevertheless, he is ready to move on, especially after meeting Sharon Leslie, his beautiful neighbour. Marc feels a connection with Sharon, a kinship of surviving everything that life has thrown their way. She makes him feel again, makes him long to hold her and shows him the possibilities of a wonderful future together. Marc just has to convince her that it is ok to take a chance on him and to love again…
Sharon Leslie was once a musician and songwriter, but she not longer plays her harp or writes songs. After her abusive marriage ended and her ex-husband informed her that he owned her name and all her music, she vowed never to write another note or play again, nor be under his control ever again. However, music is in her heart and soul and Sharon finds it painful to hear her neighbour, Marc Duval play his harmonica and dislikes him for playing what she cannot. Sharon feels an attraction to Marc that she never wanted to feel for any man again. She can’t take the risk of falling in love again or losing control of her life or who she is again. Marc is like no man she’s ever known before, but can she trust him? Will Sharon accept Marc when she learns of his past and who he really is?
Judy Gill writes splendid music with her latest tale, Moonlight Man. It is a tale that reads like music, music of the mind, body, heart and soul. Marc and Sharon are wonderful characters who speak to the reader and who are strong-willed, compassionate and they make beautiful music together. This is a stunning tale that draws the reader in and leaves us feeling contentment and believing in second chances and true love. A powerful romance about two survivor’s who come together, who learn to love again and it is a tale that is highly recommended to read!
