Anne McAllister was married to a handsome, successful man. You would think she would be happy. But she wasn't. She just wasn't cut out to be a trophy wife. And that is what she was. Suddenly Tom was killed in a tragic car accident. Anne didn't get her wish for a happy marriage before he died, but she could now make her own dreams come true. She always wanted to be in law enforcement. Anne wanted adventure and she got more than she bargained for as a U.S. Deputy Marshal. Her first major assignment was to be a witness guard for a Mafia informant. Do to an attack on her and the informant, they are forced run. While making their escape, Anne discovers that he isn't a Mafia member after all, but a U.S. Marshal as well. He has been undercover for almost 3 years trying to flush out traitors in the Marshal agency. But there is still things that aren't adding up. There are things about Drew Falcone that are so familiar. And these things remind her of a man that has been dead for six years.

This book delights on many levels. What an action packed and witty romance! Anne and Drew have to learn to work together on the run. As it is against Marshal regulations to have an intimate relationship with a fellow Marshal, they are fighting their attraction for each other, as well as the unknown enemies that are hot on their trail. The reader will groan at the sexual tension just waiting to be fulfilled. Not to mention the images of the perfect roman god and goddess that are our hero and heroine. Anne is a wonderful character that learns as she goes. She is new to field work for the Marshal department and is excited for the opportunity. Drew is a complex character. He has to become comfortable in his own skin after many changes that have been thrust upon him all at once. His partner on the run, Anne isn't aware of most of his turmoil and the emotions that are rolling just under the surface.

Judi McCoy is a gifted author. She has woven a tale of delight with Heaven in your eyes. Wonderfully sexy, Superb writing, spellbinding plot and many engaging characters. The story is enthralling from the first page and keep the reader interested. Never a dull spot and the story flows smoothly. A wonderful book that this reviewer enjoyed reading.
