Lawfully Yours
Adeline offered the bounty hunter six thousand dollars to capture her husband’s murderer. He would receive half the money now and the other half upon the capture of the woman who did it. The bounty hunter refused; he just did not hunt down women but the money was good and he just could not turn it down.
Cheri worked in the saloon she had arrived in Tucson six months earlier and had become friends with the McGregor family. They treated her as if she was one of their own. Bas, one of the McGregors, usually made sure she made it home safely. He was not just her friend but he protected her. He arrives at the saloon one night and brings a friend. Just the presence of this man brings quietness over the crowd and a tingle down Cheri’s spine.
Ryder Storm is sexy and dangerous. Not only was he here to capture the killer, he was here to see old friends, the McGregors. He is a cocky bounty hunter who is use to getting his ways does not like it when mouthy Cheri does not jump to his every whim. She does not trust him but finds him incredibly sexy. He knows she is a murderer and a whore at that, but the woman drives him insane. Her past is dark; the only thing she holds dear is her son. Even his existence is a reminder of how she was raped. After an attack upon Cheri the hot headed bounty hunter and the hot-tempered Cheri find themselves married.
This reviewer loved the back and forth arguments, the sexual tension, the heart break, and the excitement of the twists and turns throughout this story. Ryder is the epitome of “bad boy”. He is raw, sexy, full of lust and oh so arrogant. He hides his past deep, not allowing anyone in but Cheri and her son to break down the walls he built. Love at first site does not even come close to the feeling that these two have upon their first meeting. He will have to risk it all to prove she is not a murderer and then find out who the real one is. This reviewer could not put this book down. It’s so much fun to see the ‘fighting’ between Ryder and Cheri. It was a great read and kept this reviewer’s nose in the book from beginning to end.
