Natalie Crown has made changes in her life: the biggest being when she started her own PR business after leaving her cheating fiancé and business partner. She had promised herself she would not have any more politicians or celebrities as her clients, as she didn’t like the tactics and the Machiavellian machinations that she had needed to use with them. She would only work for non-profit organizations now.

Alex Daire was running for re-election in California, for the US Senate. Benny Cederoth, Alex’s campaign manager had been relentlessly hounding her to work on his campaign. The poll results showed he was dead-in-the-water with Californian women. Natalie had refused him numerous times, until the day Alex came to her office to see her and to apologize for Benny’s tactics. Sexual tension abounds between the two, with Natalie surprising herself by agreeing to help out his campaign. She comes up with some innovative ideas, which although they work, leaves them both wanting each other all the more. Natalie’s ex also rears his ugly head to try to cause trouble.

The Result Merchant is fast-paced, filled with sexual tension, and a beautiful love story. It brings you into the world of political campaigns, which are not always nice, but it gives an interesting backdrop to an exciting love story. I enjoyed this story and look forward to more work from author, Thea Solo.
