Melle has been working at the castle as part of the kitchen staff. She is an elf who lost her family during the war with the Mouse King. She would like to meet Prince Banagh since she has heard the tale about his battle with the Mouse King and how he defeated him in battle. She gets to meet her prince and immediately sparks start to fly between them. Unfortunately for Melle, Branagh is a fae prince and heir to the kingdom. Can an elf and a fae find a future together?

Elf Song is loosely based on “The Nutcracker”. The author has used the story as a backdrop for her book but also utilized the characters from the ballet. This was a fun and fanciful treatment of the ballet. Of course, with the added sexual tension and encounters you will find in an Ellora’s Cave book. Although, this was an extremely short book, 12 Days of Christmas Quickies, it encompasses all a reader could want: strong characters and action-packed storyline. Readers will be entertained by the different take the author created in “The Nutcracker” story.
