Catherine a make-up artist who has been deeply hurt in the past likes to dress up in as an alter ego and make men drool at bars and then slap them down. She uses them temporarily to satisfy her sexual desire but never will she let another man hurt her. When she meets Gideon an indefinable attraction heats up. She feels emotions she hasn't felt in a long time. All make her want to retreat to make sure she doesn't end up getting hurt again.

Gideon, a bodyguard and ex-CIA operative is in town on a job. Needing to relax and wind down he heads out for some relaxation and maybe some extracurricular activity. Out in a bar he notices Catherine and something in him calls out to her. Realizing she is teasing men in the bar and knowing she will not follow through with any of them, he decides to teach her a lesson. Both think they are going into the night for a brief encounter but after the night has passed, both will want more. Who ends up teaching whom at the end? You'll have to buy the book to find out. They meet again when Gideon starts his job protecting Catherine's boss. Can you guess what happens then? Can't tell you how wonderful reading this book is and well worth the purchase.

This reviewer found the book a great read. Catherine and Gideon have wonderful sexual energy and it comes across in spades as you read. Sherri King has perfected the art of sexual tension writing, and this story shows it to advantage. Gideon and Catherine fight and argue throughout but always with the underlying sexual tension. This reviewer enjoyed that the most from this book. Of course, the fire hot love scenes really eased the way too. This reviewer was surprised Ms. King didn't have more action in it but what she has is just as great. This story has many cloak and dagger instances that make the plot more interesting to read. It kept this reviewer entertained and on her toes as the story unfolded and more of the action occurred. If you like action and loads of sexual tension as well as flame hot love scenes this is the book you want to read. If you haven't read Sherri King before you are in for a wonderful surprise, she has spiced up the erotic romance genre with her action packed stories and sexual tension attraction between the hero and heroine. Thank you Sherri, great job as always.
