Even controlled by rage and hate, she has used her wits to track and find weaknesses in Eli to use to her advantage. And her advantage has stood her in good stead in this quest. They meet and sparks fly. Sarel has waited years for this one opportunity to kill Eli. Sarel finally makes her move and attempts to kill Eli. Only she does not reckon with the powerful and loyal friends Eli has made over the years. They save him and hunt her down. But nothing will stop her and if she must forfeit her life, so be it.

This reviewer loved this book. The first story of the series was amazing and initially skeptical over the power of the sequel, this reviewer was very pleasurably surprised by the depth and intensity of this second story. Ms. Walker taped into a vein of emotion and empathy for the hero, which this reviewer seldom sees. Usually readers identify most with the heroine, in this story a lot of depth is exposed about the hero, which allows a deep understanding of his character. There is a whole new feel to this story, not only do you have the variance in character understanding, but the plot has the heroine in a very ominous light. All this works to bring this story to life in vivid detail. The adventure from start to finish is so mind enthralling, it becomes a life of its own. The reader will not leave the story line until the very end. Which in this reviewer’s eye makes this story a keeper of mammoth proportions.
