Like a scared rabbit, Libby runs away from him only to land in the arms of their enemy. Nate Blackburn is on to them watching their every move. Just when things start to get normal Libby’s life changes dramatically with a little help of Nates. The problem with Libby is that in order to rescue her mother and grandma she needs to marry and being a bachelor, Nate seems like the perfect option. Marriage with him is only in name and nothing more, but alas not everything can go right. As marriages go, Nate soon learns that Libby is not the witch he thinks she is but something more than that. He thinks she put a spell on him but as days go by and he learns that it’s not witchery she cast but just pure simple love that has him captivated with her. As they embark to find out about each other they soon learn that each of them hold some powers within one another. Powers that can either destroy them or bring them stronger than ever.

Catherine Snodgrass has done it again in this remarkable story of two people with powers that are in need of one another. For years, Libby Claiborne has gone through life being shunned from people because of her ability to foretell and brew up potions unlike other people. Since this could bring in money Clayton, her stepbrother uses her in his demonic ways so he could rake in the money never letting people on of her powers. Only one person can bring her down not only physically but also emotionally and that is Nate. Sensing a soul mate in him, she surrenders herself and vulnerability to him, hoping that he can see past her powers. She may seem innocent but Nate knows that she has a devilish mind especially when it concerns him. Snodgrass has created two wonderful characters that are truly livable to read about in this enchanting historical romance. The plot and the interaction they go through just to lead a normal life is astounding and breathtaking in this new story. Not only are Libby and Nate great to read about but also the secondary characters, like the orphans, grandmother Rose and her mother. Together with all these people, they make a family like no other with a little touch of love that will mend all hearts.
