Isabella's Desire

Isabella doesn't want to get married unfortunately; she has been betrothed since she was 15. Her future husband decides to visit the abbey where his betrothed is. Karl is instantly smitten by Bella and vice versa. They become lovers but don't know each other's identity. Bella decides to switch places with Claire, her best friend and they leave the abbey together. Bella falls ill and upon recovery discovers her best friend has married her Karl. Thus begins a tale of love, treachery and betrayal.

The author has written an erotic filled book. There is much passion and love between Bella and Karl. The author is detailed in her descriptions of the sexual scenes and they are in perfect keeping with Bella and Karl's relationship. This book harkens back to the eighties'-- it felt like something the reader would have been glomming back then.

This was a fun book to read. It is filled with non-stop action. The plot is filled with many twists and turns. The main characters are likable. Isabella and Karl finds love but there are many travails they have to overcome before they can be together again. The villains are nasty and their actions make it easy for the reader to dislike. There are many secondary storylines and of interest to the reader was Karl's sister. This is truly a "page-turner" book, as the reader will want to find out how the various storylines are resolved.
