In Honor Bound

Ariane, a Wallachian healer, was caught giving medicine to an enemy Turk when soldiers overtook his stronghold. They took her prisoner, not caring that she was forced to administer aid to the ailing man. Now a slave, she finds herself bought by one of the brothers of the Dark Citadel. Lord Stephen sends the virginal healer to his slave trainers in the hopes that she will learn to fulfill his sexual needs. Unable to perform as a man should, he is desperate for a woman who can bring him the release he craves.

Radu and Antony must teach the untried virgin how to seduce the master and to crave the pain that will come along with the pleasure. The three of them soon become lovers out of desire as well as necessity. As dangerous as their world is, they are content as long as they have each other.

When enemies take over the stronghold, they make a daring escape, saving their wounded master along the way. The four of them find a home in an abandoned demesne rumored to be haunted by ghosts of the former owners. From slaves to masters, the three lovers must find their own place in a dangerous world and create a home that will heal them and all those who wish to dwell there. But will Lord Stephen be satisfied to live as equals with his former slaves?

This story as a whole was very interesting. The reversal of fortunes of the 4 main characters and the way they each reacted to the sudden freedom or servitude, depending on the character, was fascinating. In spite of instances long drawn out descriptions, this reviewer was hooked, curious about how this story would end. The emotions of the characters as they grew to understand one another was intriguing and perceptive. One final note, be warned that this book contains extreme BDSM and homosexual activity. If you have a problem with extreme sexual situations and mild violence, you might want to steer clear of this book.
