When he learns about his new mission on earth, he is thrilled to be able to prove himself to his fellow teammates. The mission was to capture shrennan, or chupacabras, as they are known to earthlings. Pets left behind by wealthy tourists visiting the planet many years ago. By now, they would be wild and extremely deadly. It was a mission he was looking forward to, knowing that he would be able to work alone, away from the arrogance of the rest of the crew.
Sonia Rodriguez had not seen her father for years. The hopes she had that she would one day get to know him better were dashed when she received the news that he had died of cancer. Sonia learned that he had left her everything in his will, with the stipulation that she lives in his house for a year. She is quite shocked, to say the least, when she discovered who her father had been rooming with the past 6 months. Tall and powerful, Rulagh's strange scaled skin and feathered crest, scream alien, but his strong yet surprisingly gentle mannerisms show that he is all male.
Together, they will work to destroy the population of chupacabras in the limited time set by Rulagh's leader. Despite the obvious differences between them, they become hopelessly attracted to one another. Can they overcome their differences and make a life together? Will they be able to finish their mission before time runs out?
The Huntress is a unique and creative story that will pull the reader into the world of this strange race of people. Rulagh is a sexy hero despite his lizard-like appearance and his most intriguing quality, his ipex, is something you will have to read about to believe. Sonia is a very strong-minded female. Hurt in the past, she is a bit unsure of giving herself totally to another man, but when she does, she loves him with all she has. This is well-written story with an unusual subject and well developed characters. This reviewer looks forward to more from this creative author.
