Scott Flannigan the oldest is a young commander who takes care of his little brother P.J. (Patrick James) and Matt as they all grow up. Though he is the oldest, he takes his job of older brother seriously. Therefore, when they find out Ms. Bee is in trouble they try everything they can to find her missing son, Hector. Scott like a commander does things all at once not thinking of the ifs or buts in some scenarios. All three brothers do everything they can to help Mrs. Bee before the bank forecloses on her home. Scott though starts questioning himself on whether he can find Hector. Can the Flannigan Boys save their neighbor in time? Will their father find out?
The three boys, all brothers, in this story will make you laugh and cheer for them throughout the end. The Flannigan Boys is a tale that is not only heartwarming but as you read the adventures these brothers share you'll be amazed how persistent they are to help a neighbor. Being the oldest Scott is in charge and sometimes the one who orders the brothers around. He takes care of everybody and listens to people when they need someone to talk. To put it simply he is like a grown up in a small body looking out for everybody in Comfort, Idaho. With their father on a trip, he is the man in the house. Finding out that the bank is about to foreclose on their neighbor's house he tries everything he can to have her keep her house. He displays a high level of courage and bravery for such a young boy. Ms. Drury has a remarkable talent, creating a story that immediately captures your attention. As a young adult story, this book will interest anybody, from the young to the elderly, for its funny characters and the great plot she has created.
