The Spy Who Loves Me

Phinneaus Teague - Super spy or mild mannered attorney?

Finn, 37 years old and 3 years out of law school, is finding that being an attorney isn't what Perry Mason made it out to be. He spends all his time researching procedural points and writing depositions. He'd much rather be doing one of the odd jobs he'd had before settling down to a serious career; he'd been a bartender, a SCUBA instructor, a computer games designer, but never what he really wanted to be, an FBI agent. As Finn sits at his kitchen table not working he watches his neighbor, Diana, work out and fantasizes that he is Secret Agent Python and that she is a spy he must apprehend. While Finn spins his fantasies about catching the bad guys Amber Robinson watches him.

Amber has been an agent with Unit 7, a super secret organization, since she was 13 years old and rescued from a murder charge by the head of Unit 7; in short everything Finn wants to be. She has been assigned to watch Diana, a suspected techno-terrorist, and finds Finn watching Diana every bit as closely as she is. To complete her mission Amber needs to know if Finn is just a guy overcome with lust for a beautiful woman or if he is working with Diana to steal Prometheus, a secret weapon with the capability to start World War III. So Amber sets out to get close to Finn and finds herself not treating him as just an assignment. Will she figure out if Finn is a mild mannered attorney or a super spy in time to save the world?

Julie Kenner has done it again with The Spy Who Loves Me. In this sequel to "Nobody But You" she takes us on a fun filled, sexy journey with Amber as she tries to balance the career that saved her with the man she is growing to love. The twisting paths she takes us down draws us in and has us rooting for Amber & Finn to make it all the way. The Spy Who Loves Me is a delightful read and sure to please fans of Julie Kenner.
