The reviewer's favorite of the three is Love's Tender Fury. It is a hilarious take on the "romance" genre. Marnie Hammer's pseudonym as Jessica LaFleur sells tons of romance novels. She literally has people waiting for hours in line during book signings. Unfortunately, she wants respectability as a "serious" writer. Tony Freeborg is a literary agent for a small publishing house. His mother is a huge fan of Jessica LaFleur. They cross paths at a book signing and the story takes off from there. This is a vintage MaryJanice Davidson story. It has the wry sense of humor that pervades all her books. The characters are well fleshed out. The dialogue/banter between the characters is' witty, crisp and hilarious. The reviewer enjoyed all the secondary characters from Tony's mother to Joe, Marnie's ex-boyfriend.
All three authors have done a wonderful job with their contributions to this book. This reviewer can honestly say I enjoyed all three. Each of the stories held the reader's attention and I finished this book in one sitting. Of course, not only do they have interesting plotlines, likable characters but they have highly erotic situations. All three stories contain sizzling hot sexual scenes. They are all nicely incorporated within the storyline. It is a rarity to find an anthology where all the stories are this wonderful. Each and everyone was a very satisfying read. This reviewer highly recommends this anthology to everyone.
