Steve Macmillan helps a stranded woman. Her appearance is of a hooker but she is a stripper. Unfortunately, she was just fired from that job. Alexandria Houston has had a tough luck. She is working hard trying to get through school. They are mutually attracted to each other and nature takes it course. He has one heck of a night with her. A memory of this one night remains with him. Finally, due to the urging of his brother, he heads back to the strip club to find her.
Alexandria is a resourceful woman. She works hard for her money whether stripping or at the local store. She is a very strong person. Steve is rich, handsome and powerful. He is unsure of how well Alex would fit in his world. This ambivalence sets up the major problem with their relationship. Everything else is great - they enjoy each others' company and they are sexually compatible. Heck, these two literally go up in flames when they get together.
The author has written a tantalizing and sizzling book. Alex and Steve are front and center throughout this book and they deserve to be. It was fascinating to watch how these two characters and their relationship develop. The author captures the reader's attention from the first paragraph and doesn't let go until the last sentence. The secondary characters are a winning addition to this book. From Steve's sister, his brother to Alex's best friend - they are not extraneous fillers. The reviewer would love to read more about Jake and Ameril. This was a fun and very enjoyable book guaranteed to satisfy all.
